Cybersecurity. This is how a ransomware attack works:
1. Installation: After a victim’s computer is infected, the crypto-ransomware installs itself, and sets keys in the Windows Registry to start automatically every time your computer boots up.
2. Contacting headquarters: Before crypto-ransomware can attack, it contacts a server operated by the criminal gang that owns it.
3. Handshake and keys: The ransomware client and server identify each other through a carefully arranged “handshake”, and the server generates two crytographic keys. One key is kept on your computer, the second key is stored securely on the criminals’ server.
4. Encryption: With the cryptographic keys established, the ransomware on your computer starts encrypting every file it finds with any of dozens of common file extensions, from Microsoft Office documents to .jpg images and more.
5. Extortion: The ransomware displays a screen giving you a time limit to pay up before the criminals destroy the key to decrypt your files. The typical price, 0 to 0, must be paid in untraceable bitcoins or other electronic payments.

So I’ve been WAY busy but it’s good to be back. I’ve been getting a LOT of questions about some options and features of the Mossberg 590A1 and I figured it was time to put up an update video. Since my early Mossberg videos, I’ve changed the look of the gun and added/dropped some components. Please comment for questions as I’m sure I’ve forgotten some things.
I generally enjoy shooting and collecting military guns, especially military surplus guns -the older kind. I like the look of a good rifle/shotgun with classic wood furniture and the concept behind this project was to make the 590A1 into something it is naturally able to do but is not made or marketed as: a trench gun.
It’s got the bayonet capability, as most 590A1 shotguns have, as well as a heat shield, wood furniture, a military sling, and an overall parkerzied finish on the steel. Some modern neccesities are things like ghost ring sights, a tritium front sight, and a side saddle, but I consider them still inline with the “trench gun concept.”
I did it for my own liking, but in a world of guns flooded with polymers and “tactical black” stocks and components, I think this modern-made shotgun stands out on the line.

A father approached NYPD Officer Ariel Zaremba outside the 44th Precinct stationhouse in the Highbridge neighborhood of the Bronx around 3:30 p.m. Saturday begging for help.
“He said his son wasn’t breathing,” a police source said.
Zaremba and Officer George Lippi checked for the boy’s pulse and made sure his airway was clear. Zaremba then began to perform CPR, but quickly realized the boy needed professional help.
As an ambulance was still on its way, Sgt. Anthony Lombardo ordered the officers to take the child to the emergency room.
The officers climbed into a patrol car and raced the boy to Bronx Lebanon Hospital, where medical staff was …

FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — Gunfire erupted at a nightclub hosting a swimsuit-themed party for teens in Florida, leaving two teens dead and at least 17 other people wounded, officials said Monday. It was not immediately clear what triggered the violence, but Fort Myers police Capt. Jim Mulligan said the shooting was not an act of terror. Police detained three people and said the area around Club Blu had been deemed safe, Mulligan said. The two teens killed were 14-year-old Sean Archilles and 18-year-old Ste’Fan Strawder, police said.

A little girl was outside the Republican National Convention with her mother and wanted to show her support for the officers standing guard. So her mother led her down the line of security and the little girl fist-bumped each officer.
One of the officers even lent her his hat and she posed for a picture, WSB TV reports.

An Austin police dash cam video that was just released shows an incident from June of 2015 in which a black school teacher was violently arrested during a traffic stop. Reportedly she was pulled over by Officer Bryan Richter for going 15 miles per hour over the speed limit

Video shows a student at Chicago Vocational Career Academy threatening a substitute teacher in 2011.
In the video, a student verbally abuses the female teacher and then lifts a desk and threatens her with it. The teacher stays seated the entire time. CPS released a statement Monday, calling the video “unacceptable.”
“The safety of students and staff is our top priority at Chicago Public Schools, and the behavior in this video is completely unacceptable. Over the past four years, CPS has worked hard to provide all schools with restorative justice and social and emotional learning supports, both of which are shown to reduce misconducts and keep at-risk students connected to their school communities.”
The video does “not in any way reflect the current climate” at CVCA, Michael Passman of CPS Office of Communications, said, and was recorded before the arrival of the current principal.
Passman did not say if the students in the video were disciplined. However, he said the students in the video no longer attend Chicago Vocational Career Academy and the substitute teacher has not worked there for “a number of years.”
